Biography

Elder Emmanuel Freeman Kofi Mireku, a devoted servant of God, lived a life marked by faith, perseverance, and unwavering dedication to the Gospel. Born on July 3, 1919, in a humble household, he was the son of Opanyin Kwame Adofo (Aduana Abusua, Obomeng-Kwahu) and Obaapanyin Amma Birago (Ayokoo Abusua, Atibie-Kwahu). His childhood was shaped by hardship, including the loss of his father at a tender age. These early trials set the stage for a remarkable journey of faith.

Elder Mireku faced a severe and persistent health condition that drove him to seek healing and deliverance. His search took him across many places, but a life-changing moment occurred at a stream in a remote area at Brede in the Brong Ahafo Region. Alone and overwhelmed, he experienced a powerful vision: a man burdened with a heavy cross appeared, struggling yet resolute, his sorrowful eyes fixed on him and repeatedly calling out "Emmanuel, Emmanuel"

This encounter unveiled to him the mystery of Christ's love and suffering, marking a turning point in Elder Mireku's life. From that moment, he dedicated himself entirely to God, a decision that shaped the course of his ministry.
